The Line 3 Replacement Pipeline Project has been undergoing regulatory review in the State of Minnesota for over 3 years and the final verdict will most likely be announced in the final days of June, 2018 after four days of public meetings & deliberation by the PUC.
The meetings will take place in the Large Hearing Room in the Public Utilities Commission building in Downtown St. Paul at 121 7th Place East, Suite 350, St. Paul, MN, 55101.
Meeting Dates:
- Monday, June 18th, 2018 9:30am
- Tuesday, June 19th, 2018 9:30am
- Tuesday, June 26th, 2018 9:30am
- Wednesday, June 27th, 2018 9:30am
The first two meetings will include final arguments from both sides of the issue and allow for PUC Judges to ask questions. The final two days are scheduled to allow the PUC Judges to deliberate about the decision as they are only (technically) allowed to discuss whether to approve or deny the permits in a public space. All four meetings will be live-streamed via the PUC and we will be working to make sure that feed is accessible via the #StopLine3 SCI Page.
Although all of the “science” has already been submitted to the PUC for review, there is still a massive need to have the public attend these hearings on each day. We will be working to support MN350’s efforts to promote attendance and organizing several ways the public can get involved with raising awareness leading up to, and during, these PUC Meetings.
