Video Footage from the People’s March in St. Paul standing against Fascism, Inadequate COVID-19 Support for Working Peoples, Police Brutality & the Line 3 Pipeline.
The “People’s March” [Click for FB Event] was organized by the Twin Cities Workers Defense Alliance – WDA & the Twin Cities Solidarity Network and drew approx 300 people along a route down Summit & Ave in St. Paul, MN.
The People’s March took place in the Twin Cities at the same time as multiple arrests were occuring in Northern Minnesota along the active construction route of the Line 3 Pipeline as Indigenous Activists & Allies halt construction with the goal of stalling the project long enough for the incoming Federal administration to take away Army Corps 404 Water Quality Permits and/or the multiple appeals and requests for a “Stay Against Construction” are granted in the court system.
Featured in the video are various speakers from the march including:
- Taysha Martineau (Two-spirit Indigenous Activist | Fond du Lac | Gitchigumi Scouts)
- Cliff Wilmeng (Director | MN Nurses Association)
- Kieran Knutson (President | Communications Workers of America Local 7250)
- Mysti Babineau (Red Lake Nation | Climate Justice Organizer, MN350)
